The Story Behind
Ikigai Cases
Our reason for creating Ikigai Cases was a very personal one. In 2008 our father was diagnosed with CIDP, a rare neurological disease that inhibits your movement and can even leave you paralyzed.
In the next years, we watched our father go through every issue imaginable with his pill containers. Breaking, spilling, accidentally opening constantly. Handling a flimsy plastic pill box is already a hassle, and even more so when your hands aren’t working very well due to his disease.
We tried every pill case we could find. Unfortunately, none worked for him.
In 2021, after watching our dad suffer plastic cases for years, we finally had enough. We wanted to give him a pill case that is durable, easy to use, never spills, and looks good on top of it.
That’s how Ikigai Cases was born.

I am having trouble finding my size. What size should I get?
Use the Find Your Size page to find the case that works best for you! There are photos of cases filled with different sized pills there so you can estimate what size you need.
If you'd like to send us a photo of your daily routine, we can also guess-timate the size you need using that photo. Just send it to us at tavish@ikigaicases.com.
Lastly, our perfect fit guarantee means you can exchange your case if you do happen to find out the size wasn't quite right. We'll even redo the engravings for you, free of charge. It's just part of our promise to make sure you absolutely love your Ikigai Cases!
Do you offer rush shipping? (Hint: Yes)
Yes. Rush shipping is UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS Next Day Air Saver, and rush processing is USPS Priority Mail. Order any of those by NOON EASTERN and it ships the same business day. After noon eastern, it ships the next business day.
Normal orders get engraved and shipped in the order that they came in. Our goal is to ship them within 3 business days.

Our return portal is easily accessible on our main menu, and its liked in all your tracking emails. We even provide prepaid return labels to make sure the entire process is as seamless as possible.
Can I put them in my carry-on bag while flying? (Hint: Yes)
Yes! Pill organizers are 100% approved by the TSA for air travel as stated on the TSA.gov website, just place your Ikigai Cases inside your toiletry bag.

How does the sliding lid stay closed?
Ikigai Cases use a patented lid design that will never accidentally open or spill in your bag.
A spring loaded ball built into the base pushes up into a divot in the bottom of the lid keeping the lid securely closed.
When you’re ready to open your case, just push down on the traction pad area of the lid and slide the case open.
The lid will click into place at each pocket as it slides open. This makes it super easy to dump single pockets out while holding the case with just one hand.
How are engravings applied to the pill cases?
For Lid Engravings, we use CNC machines to engrave text onto the lids.
For Days of the Week (In Pocket Engravings), we use a fiber laser engraving machine to engrave the lettering inside the pockets.
The engravings are not stickers. They are not painted, sprayed, or laser marked on the cases. All of those ways to put temporary markings on a pill case wear off over time.
The engraving methods we chose are to make the engravings permanent - so they last as long as your case will.
We dealt with the pain of having markings wear off on plastic pill organizers for too many years. There was no way we were going to design our cases that way.

Do free promotional items need to be returned if I return my order?
If your order included any FREE promotional items, those items must be returned with the rest of the order if you initiate a return.
If a free promotional item is not returned, it will be charged at its full retail price and deducted from your refund.

This is a well-built, solid and excellent product! It’s quite stunning, actually. The boxes are large to hold all your daily pills. The etching is bright, clear, and easy to read. The magnets make it easy to add/remove/arrange as desired.
I actually have two pill trays from them and one on the way. I will never buy plastic again after having the Ferrari version of a pill case. As you can see from the picture it comes with a protective case should you want it. I have NO complaints plus the staff is ultra cool.
Every case I have purchased so far, serves me well. I’ll be getting more. Super fast shipping, and really careful, item-centric packing. The aluminum cases travel well. My stainless steel nano stays at home. It’s a beautifully milled, polished, and hefty piece that can hold pills or be an excellent fidget toy. Ikigai gets 11 stars!

This pill case is a life saver. I can manipulate it with one hand! I am able to load it easily and be in my way. I can be assured that it won’t open in my travel bag and loose all my pills. I also don’t have to worry about my dog being able to chew it open like a flimsy plastic case. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

Super expensive. They do the job of holding my pills at a Lincoln Town Car level of service and comfort rather than a Geo Prism level. The engineer in me loves these. The price might be more than I should spend, but I excitedly spent the money on one AM PM vitamin XL set and went ahead and bought three more sets after I used the first set so I can fill 4 weeks of am/ pm sets at a time. They hold all I need them to hold. They are gorgeous. I love the colors. The way they open one compartment at a time has a really nice feel. The see through top is more useful, but the the metal top is way prettier. This nerdy woman with autoimmune issues and way too many pills to take definitely approves of these cases.
I have autoimmune adventures and my vitamin/supplement/ Rx regimen is bulky. I like to fill 4 weeks of meds at once so I don't have to touch all those bottles every day or week when I refill. I bought the AM PM 7 day vitamin XL case. I liked it so much that I went back and bought the 4 week magnetic set so I could stick together all the AMs and then all the PMs, and two extra middle sets and have an easier time filling them once a month and not deal with awkward flap closures I've been dealing with for years to move out of the way to fill the compartments. Was this a very overpriced medicine organizer? Yes. But I like the colors, the actuation of opening one compartment at a time is fabulous, and they don't just open and spill all over. They are solid. They are cute. They hold everything I need them to hold! They do the job well. I filled them
This Desert Rain color Mission Case is really cool. I haven't used it yet, but it's going to be perfect for when I'm going somewhere overnight and want to be prepared in case there is some disaster that prevents me from getting home the next day. Or maybe something LOVELY will prevent me from getting home the next day. I'm either case, this is cool because I can have a spare day's worth of meds with me, or more. And it's just a very solid, cool-looking thing. The way the lid slides is so satisfying.
Ikigai seems to be a stand up company that puts out a great product to last a lifetime! And their customer service is superior. I had to send my first case back because it was too small and they immediately shipped out an XL pill case replacement when I dropped off the original case I ordered. And even paid for shipping to return the case!! This case is an awesome product!!

I'm very pleased with this. I was getting depressed and irritated about the increasing collection of pill bottles on my counter and the frustrating morning ritual of opening each bottle in sequence. While a drugstore pillbox would have solved the second problem, it wouldn't have solved the first, since it would still look like depressing medical equipment. Luckily, the algorithm sent Ikigai advertising to me, and I took a chance. I love solidly-built things and the look of anodized metal, so I just kind of WANTED these anyway, just as cool objects. I am very happy with these. Today was my first day waking up and meeting the fully filled case in the morning. I got my Monday pills out and put the beautiful case back on the counter. Making this medication situation into something pleasant and beautiful makes me happy. Thanks for making a very nice product.

I know this is technically for medication, but I love this case for storing jewelry when traveling. It gives me a safe place to store my earrings and necklaces without them being loose in my bags
I love my AM/PM MagNano set! It’s very easy to fill once a week and take only the days you need while keeping the rest safe. I wish that more colors had been in stock when I ordered mine but I still love it. MagNano fits all 12 of my daily meds with ease.
