Can I put my Ikigai Case in my carry-on?
Yes. TSA allows pills in pill cases in both carry-on and checked bags, as stated on TSA.gov. Just place your case inside your toiletry bag. Our customers have been flying with Ikigai Cases since 2021, through airport security in the US and all around the world.
Which medications am I allowed to travel with?
That depends on where you're going. Every jurisdiction and every country has its own rules on which pills and medications are legal, and a medication that's legal at home can be restricted or illegal somewhere else. Do your own research on the rules where you live and everywhere you're traveling, and follow them.
Who sets these rules?
TSA does, not us. Ikigai Cases isn't affiliated with or endorsed by TSA. This page summarizes what TSA says publicly on TSA.gov, and those rules can change, so check TSA.gov before you fly. Will the metal set off the metal detector?
Not if it's in your bag. Your bag goes through the X-ray, not the walk-through metal detector, so pack your case in your bag rather than your pocket.
Do my pills need to be in the original bottle?
Not for TSA. Prescription labeling is set by state law, so check your state's rules if you're unsure.
Is there a limit on how many pills I can bring?
No. TSA allows medication in pill or other solid form in unlimited amounts, as long as it's screened.
Will the lid open in my suitcase?
No. Our patented sliding lid only opens when you open it. Each pocket clicks shut, so a bumped bag won't spill your pills.
