I invented the Ikigai pill case for my dad. Here are 4 reasons why 68,000+ people use one every day for their pill routine.

Why I started Ikigai Cases
My dad was diagnosed with a neurological condition in 2008. Plastic pill boxes failed him for 13 years, so I invented him a better one.

In 2008, my dad was diagnosed with CIDP, a rare neurological condition that attacks the nerves in his hands and feet. He had to start taking medication 5x per day just to survive.
For 13 years we bought him every pill box under the sun. None of them could do two simple things he needed: open easily and stay shut.
In 2021, I invented him a better pill case - the first Ikigai Pill Case. Here are the 4 things that make it different from the plastic pill organizers everyone is used to.
They're made from 100% metal, not from cheap plastic.

Top: plastic next to ours. Below: a customer's old plastic case next to his Ikigai.
Plastic pill organizers are made from cheap plastic that breaks way too easily. The hinges break off, the markings wear down, and the parts crack over time especially if it's ever dropped.
When you're taking pills for years, the pill organizer you use needs to last that long too - it can't just break after a few months.
My dad went through so many plastic organizers, we knew we needed a better material. So we chose aerospace-grade aluminum 6061-T6, the highest quality aluminum alloy.
The patented lid opens easily (when you want it to).

Thumb on the grip pad, one push, and it slides open to the day you need.
My dad always had problems with the lid design on plastic organizers. Flip up lids were so finicky - he'd have trouble opening it, then in one big pill explosion he'd get it open but his pills would fly everywhere.
With the Ikigai Pill Case, all you do is push down and slide - and the lid glides open. It'll click at each open pocket, to make it easy to pour your pills out into your other hand.
No more struggling to open up plastic cases, or picking the pills out from the pockets one by one.
Whether you take pills daily, twice a day, or just on trips, we've got a case for you.
Find your caseThe lid stays closed (unless you want it open), so it won't spill in your bag.

Top: one day, poured out at the gate. Below: plastic popped open in a suitcase, next to ours, still shut.
The classic plastic pill organizer has buttons on the side which get easily triggered during travel. Far too often, you'll open up your suitcase to a surprise pill spill on your first day of vacation.
Our patented sliding lid only opens when you open it. It takes a human pushing it down, and sliding at the same time to trigger the opening mechanism.
Toss it in a carry-on, purse or dopp kit and it stays shut. No more picking up loose pills out of your bag, when you should be at the beach!
It looks cool - which is not something you normally say about a pill case.

Custom engraving on the lid and in the pockets, in 15+ colors.
My dad hated pulling a medical-looking pill organizer out in front of his friends and said he was embarrassed by it.
We designed Ikigai Cases to look cool, so that you feel cool when you're using it.
We wanted to make Ikigai Cases the opposite of traditional plastic organizers, with limited edition colors, a sleek design, and custom engravings.
It's a little thing - but feeling cooler every day instead of feeling sick or old, makes a difference.
People tell us all the time they leave our cases on the counter at home, and would hide their plastic ones in a cabinet. It makes it just a little easier to take your pills when you see it every day instead of hidden away.

Why does it cost more than plastic?
Because we set out to build the best pill case in the world, not the cheapest one. It isn't a luxury markup. You pay more, and you get a better case in every way that matters.
Better material. Solid aerospace-grade aluminum. Not propylene plastic, whatever that is.
Better design. Our sliding lid is patented. One push to open, and it won't spill. Plus, it looks cool.
Better manufacturing. CNC-machined from a solid block of metal, not stamped out of a plastic mold in seconds.
Better customization. Custom engraving on the lid and in the pockets, 15+ colors, up to 5 sizes.
Better warranty. Lifetime Warranty on Ikigai Cases. Plastic cases are built to be replaced, with zero warranty.
Real support. A family business that answers customer service emails 7 days a week, not a random Amazon brand you can't get help from.
There are cheaper pill organizers, but there are not better pill organizers. We obsess about making the best pill cases in the world and providing the best customer service in the world.

What size do I need?
Every case has a Storage Capacity diagram on its page that shows how many pills fit in each pocket. Pick a case above, then check the diagram against your routine.
Still not sure? The Find Your Case page has photos of cases filled with different sized pills so you can estimate what size you need. Or send us a photo of your daily routine at tavish@ikigaicases.com and we'll guess-timate the size for you.
What if the size isn't quite right?
Our perfect fit guarantee means you can exchange your case if you do happen to find out the size wasn't quite right. We'll even redo the engravings for you, free of charge. It's just part of our promise to make sure you absolutely love your Ikigai Cases!
Can engraved cases be exchanged or returned for a refund? (Hint: Yes)
Yes! You can return any case free of charge for 100 days after purchase. Even the engraved ones!
We make this really easy to do. Our return portal is on our main menu and linked in all your tracking emails, and we provide prepaid return labels.
How does the sliding lid stay closed?
Ikigai Cases use a patented lid design that will never accidentally open or spill in your bag. A spring loaded ball built into the base pushes up into a divot in the bottom of the lid, keeping the lid securely closed.
When you're ready to open your case, just push down on the traction pad area of the lid and slide the case open. The lid will click into place at each pocket as it slides open. This makes it super easy to dump single pockets out while holding the case with just one hand.
Can I put them in my carry-on bag while flying? (Hint: Yes)
Yes! Pill organizers are 100% approved by the TSA for air travel as stated on the TSA.gov website, just place your Ikigai Cases inside your toiletry bag. There are over 68,000 customers carrying Ikigai Cases around the world without issue.
Note: Local areas may have laws against carrying certain medications, even if they are legal elsewhere. Please adhere to all local laws.
What if it breaks?
Every single Ikigai Pill Case includes a lifetime warranty. It's really easy for us to offer that, since we designed it to last that long anyway. If it ever breaks, we'll replace it free of charge.
How are engravings applied to the pill cases?
For Lid Engravings, we use CNC machines to engrave text onto the lids. For Days of the Week (In Pocket Engravings), we use a fiber laser engraving machine to engrave the lettering inside the pockets.
The engravings are not stickers. They are not painted, sprayed, or laser marked on the cases. All of those ways to put temporary markings on a pill case wear off over time. The engraving methods we chose are to make the engravings permanent - so they last as long as your case will.
Can I pay using my HSA / FSA card? (Hint: Yes)
Yes! We accept HSA and FSA cards at checkout using our checkout partner, Flex.
Do you offer rush shipping? (Hint: Yes)
Yes. Rush shipping is UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS Next Day Air Saver, and rush processing is USPS Priority Mail. Order any of those by noon Eastern and it ships the same business day. After noon Eastern, it ships the next business day.
Normal orders get engraved and shipped in the order that they came in. Our goal is to ship them within 3 business days. If you have any special requests for shipping, please contact tavish@ikigaicases.com.
Can I clean my Ikigai Case?
Absolutely. Just rinse with warm soapy water and let it air dry. The anodized aluminum won't rust or corrode, and it's built to last for decades.
1801 days and counting
My dad still uses his original Mission case from order #1, back in November 2021.

My dad was the first customer of Ikigai Cases back in November 2021. He still uses his same Mission Case to this day (although we've got him some other cases too as new models came out).
