We take every Nano Pill Case through a finishing process known as anodization to protect the case from wear and tear. The process makes the case three times tougher, corrosion-resistant, and allows us to add color.
The Story Behind
Ikigai Cases
Our reason for creating Ikigai Cases was a very personal one. In 2008 our father was diagnosed with CIDP, a rare neurological disease that inhibits your movement and can even leave you paralyzed.
In the next years, we watched our father go through every issue imaginable with his pill containers. Breaking, spilling, accidentally opening constantly. Handling a flimsy plastic pill box is already a hassle, and even more so when your hands aren’t working very well due to his disease.
We tried every pill case we could find. Unfortunately, none worked for him.
In 2021, after watching our dad suffer plastic cases for years, we finally had enough. We wanted to give him a pill case that is durable, easy to use, never spills, and looks good on top of it.
That’s how Ikigai Cases was born.

What is the MagNano?
The MagNano is a premium, all-metal weekly pill system made up of seven individual daily cases that magnetically connect to form a unified weekly organizer. Each day is its own physical case with its own lid, allowing the system to function as seven independent units rather than a single, fixed container.
This design gives you full control over how you use your pill case. You can open only the day you need, remove individual days to carry with you, or take just part of the week when traveling. MagNano adapts to ever changing schedules and unpredictability — without forcing you to interact with the entire week at once.
How is the MagNano different from the Weekly Cases?
Our current Weekly Cases are one large container with multiple compartments and a single lid. For our traditional Weekly Cases, they’re very efficient for opening and filling up when you have a consistent full week every since week.
MagNano works differently and is best for people with every changing schedules:
- Each day is its own case
-Each day has its own lid
-Each day can be removed and carried independently
-Multiple days can be stuck together to take partial groups with you
Are the MagNano magnets strong enough to stay together? (Hint: Yes)
Yes. We went through multiple rounds of prototyping over the last year to make sure the magnets were designed exactly right. They’re strong enough to stick together even when the case is shaken, or put inside your bag. But they’re also able to be pulled apart with just the right amount of force.
Are the magnets safe around phones, credit cards, or pacemakers?
Yes. The magnets used in our products are small, low-profile neodymium magnets and are safe for everyday use around smartphones and modern electronics. Devices like phones already contain and are designed to operate alongside internal magnets.
Medical devices: If you have a pacemaker or implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD), follow the standard magnet-safety guidance provided by your healthcare professional. As a general precaution, we recommend keeping MagNano cases at least 6 inches (15 cm) away from the implant site and avoiding storage in a chest pocket.
I am having trouble finding my size. What size should I get?
Use the Find Your Size page to find the case that works best for you! There are photos of cases filled with different sized pills there so you can estimate what size you need.
If you'd like to send us a photo of your daily routine, we can also guess-timate the size you need using that photo. Just send it to us at tavish@ikigaicases.com.
Lastly, our perfect fit guarantee means you can exchange your case if you do happen to find out the size wasn't quite right. We'll even redo the engravings for you, free of charge. It's just part of our promise to make sure you absolutely love your Ikigai Cases!

Our return portal is easily accessible on our main menu, and its liked in all your tracking emails. We even provide prepaid return labels to make sure the entire process is as seamless as possible.
Can I put them in my carry-on bag while flying? (Hint: Yes)
Yes! Pill organizers are 100% approved by the TSA for air travel as stated on the TSA.gov website, just place your Ikigai Cases inside your toiletry bag.

How does the sliding lid stay closed?
Ikigai Cases use a patented lid design that will never accidentally open or spill in your bag.
A spring loaded ball built into the base pushes up into a divot in the bottom of the lid keeping the lid securely closed.
When you’re ready to open your case, just push down on the traction pad area of the lid and slide the case open.
The lid will click into place at each pocket as it slides open. This makes it super easy to dump single pockets out while holding the case with just one hand.

Do you offer rush shipping? (Hint: Yes)
Yes! Expedited shipping orders (UPS Next Day Air, UPS 2nd Day Air, etc) get same-day processing. The shipping cutoff time is 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
Normal orders get engraved and shipped in the order that they came in.
