The Story Behind
Ikigai Cases
Our reason for creating Ikigai Cases was a very personal one. In 2008 our father was diagnosed with CIDP, a rare neurological disease that inhibits your movement and can even leave you paralyzed.
In the next years, we watched our father go through every issue imaginable with his pill containers. Breaking, spilling, accidentally opening constantly. Handling a flimsy plastic pill box is already a hassle, and even more so when your hands aren’t working very well due to his disease.
We tried every pill case we could find. Unfortunately, none worked for him.
In 2021, after watching our dad suffer plastic cases for years, we finally had enough. We wanted to give him a pill case that is durable, easy to use, never spills, and looks good on top of it.
That’s how Ikigai Cases was born.

If you'd like to send us a photo of your daily routine, we can also guess-timate the size you need using that photo. Just send it to us at tavish@ikigaicases.com.

Do you offer rush shipping? (Hint: Yes)
Yes. Rush shipping is UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS Next Day Air Saver, and rush processing is USPS Priority Mail. Order any of those by NOON EASTERN and it ships the same business day. After noon eastern, it ships the next business day.
Normal orders get engraved and shipped in the order that they came in. Our goal is to ship them within 3 business days.

Yes! Pill organizers are 100% approved by the TSA for air travel as stated on the TSA.gov website, just place your Ikigai Cases inside your toiletry bag.

How does the sliding lid stay closed?
Ikigai Cases use a patented lid design that will never accidentally open or spill in your bag.
A spring loaded ball built into the base pushes up into a divot in the bottom of the lid keeping the lid securely closed.
When you’re ready to open your case, just push down on the traction pad area of the lid and slide the case open.
The lid will click into place at each pocket as it slides open. This makes it super easy to dump single pockets out while holding the case with just one hand.
How are engravings applied to the pill cases?
For Lid Engravings, we use CNC machines to engrave text onto the lids.
For Days of the Week (In Pocket Engravings), we use a fiber laser engraving machine to engrave the lettering inside the pockets.
The engravings are not stickers. They are not painted, sprayed, or laser marked on the cases. All of those ways to put temporary markings on a pill case wear off over time.
The engraving methods we chose are to make the engravings permanent - so they last as long as your case will.
We dealt with the pain of having markings wear off on plastic pill organizers for too many years. There was no way we were going to design our cases that way.

I got the mission pill, nano vitamin, and nano pill. All three are very nice quality, super lightweight, and are easy to open and close without worrying about accidental opening in my work bag. Really high quality machining and very happy with the purchase so far. Expensive but you get what you pay for.
The Nano Vitamin in titanium is a great case. I generally love titanium as a material so I knew I had to scoop one of these up. It’s going to be a little bit heavier than aluminum but it feels good. The tolerances on this case are also tighter than any other case I have. Zero rattle and just feels premium. Looking cool doesn’t hurt either!

I purchased the larger version because of the lifetime warranty and the foreknowledge that most people most likely end up taking larger amounts of supplements and/or medications later in life. Pros: - THE HEFT is amazing. - The magnetic cases are STRONG. - The inside engravings (worth every penny of the upcharge), make it so I don’t have to guess on whether or not I’ve taken my meds. - The extra slot at the bottom of the case is amazing for meds that I only need to take as needed. - You saw the beautiful color combination, right? - Metal, means it won’t break open (or break in general) and need to be replaced. - It’s large and I literally cannot misplace it. Cons: - The ONLY “con” is the price point— but hear me out; if I were to buy a plastic one, or a travel med case, etc. I would end up needing to replace it when it breaks. Not only does Ikigari have a lifetime warranty if it does break, but I would have to replace those plastic ones that will inevitably break anyways. I have one case that I paid $200 for versus 20 cases that I would have paid $10 for, PLUS, the cost of replacing my medications….. soooo, it’s kind of debatable as to whether or not that is a negative thing. I would consider it a pro. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING BUYING THIS— DO IT. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.
I bought this case because I'm a frequent traveler who doesn't want a geriatric plastic case from the drug store. This is a lovely, high-quality, stylish set of cases that are separable, so I only need to bring the days I'm using with me.
My dad loves his new Ikigai cases. As a transplant survivor who will take 10-20 pills per day for the rest of his life, having a case that matches that reality was needed. The plastic cases are garbage, and diminish the already tough experience of taking meds. These cases bring some class and are exactly what is needed. We got two am/pm cases and a travel case, and plan to purchase again. I’d recommend to anyone!
I use the nano for work, placing migraine meds or the 3rd dose of an RX (or both) in it so that I will have it ready.
Great size, as I take a lot of vitamins daily! Extremely durable, but on the heavier side. I love the design. Paired in with the plain matte black, which shows finger prints, but the speckled design doesn’t at all. I wish I would have bought two speckled! Seems like this will last a very long time.

Yeah, they're expensive and I put off ordering for quite a while. Finally bit the bullet and ordered the AM/PM pill set with the translucent covers. Came quickly and I was very impressed with the packaging (not that that really affects the product but was very nicely done). It was HEAVY. Very well made and sturdy. I can see why it has a lifetime guarantee. It's a beast. Fits my pill perfectly and with the new covers, I can see at a glance whether I took my pills or not. I love this case. Sorry it took so long to take the plunge.

I am always looking for ways to make my everyday tasks easier so that I can focus on the good stuff. I take meds in the morning and the evening. I have used a 7 day pill case before but they were cheap and I did not enjoy using them. Eventually I just tossed them and went to taking meds out of my bottle everyday. The problem with this is that sometimes I am not sure if I took all my meds or not. This is can be especially problematic with stuff like blood pressure medication. What I like about the ikagai case is that it's well designed. and I love the fact the I can take todays medications and set it out for that day. When it's done I can snap that day to the other end and pull off the next day. I love it! Author James Clear said in Atomic habits that "We fall to the level of our systems." Having a reliable system helps me remember to take all my meds even on a day when I wake up tired and I need to get out the door for work in a hurry.

Hands down the absolute best pill case in existence. As a hardcore lifter with an ifbb coach, the rigors of the gym are tough, as are the gym bag conditions at times. The construction is amazing and never a fear of it busting open and losing supplements. Additionally the capacity is EXACTLY what I was looking for and actually holds a multitude of supps. I've broken or thrown away in frustration probably 4 or five different plastic carry options and can without a doubt say this is far worth the INVESTMENT. Because that's what it is an investment in quality carry tools for what keeps ya going.

I’m obsessed with these cases, as someone who lives with chronic pain and health problems this case has been a god send. I have gotten one of my friends hooked and she even ordered one for herself and her son as well!
10/10 for size, function, and ease of use. All of these pill cases and very much not necessary - a plastic one would achieve the same goal. However, these will last almost infinitely longer, and I care about that. I wanted something portable and organized for travel whether it's a weekend or a week. Something I can rely on for both use and longevity. If these fail me within a year, I'll be back to submit another review. I don't think that'll happen. Bottom line; if you take meds or vitamins every day and want a simple, effective, reliable way to organize them, this is a great option. If you're reading this, then the price is irrelevant - you took enough time to look at reviews which means you're willing to pay the price.

I love this case! When my friend showed me theirs I was originally shocked they spent more than $4 on a pill case…and then I kept thinking about it. Decided to purchase my own and see what the fuss was and I’m so happy with how sturdy it is and also how cool it looks. My meds are protected, and also stylish! It’s definitely a nicer way to stay organized and just so solid. Already looking at the itty bitty ones as a quick overnight take the meds option… :)

I finally was able to get the mag nano in all the colors I wanted….except yellow….i had to settle for aluminum since pink panther and yellow was sold out. Since this was my first purchase….i love all the colors but I should have bought the 1 week am/pm as it is tricky getting use to using this one with the magnets and keeping them together and opening the lid ….i know, I know…take them apart and use them as single…not as pretty. LOL
It’s a major upgrade. I love how well constructed it is and the sliding lid is so satisfying.
