The Story Behind
Ikigai Cases
Our reason for creating Ikigai Cases was a very personal one. In 2008 our father was diagnosed with CIDP, a rare neurological disease that inhibits your movement and can even leave you paralyzed.
In the next years, we watched our father go through every issue imaginable with his pill containers. Breaking, spilling, accidentally opening constantly. Handling a flimsy plastic pill box is already a hassle, and even more so when your hands aren’t working very well due to his disease.
We tried every pill case we could find. Unfortunately, none worked for him.
In 2021, after watching our dad suffer plastic cases for years, we finally had enough. We wanted to give him a pill case that is durable, easy to use, never spills, and looks good on top of it.
That’s how Ikigai Cases was born.

Use the Find Your Size page to find the case that works best for you! There are photos of cases filled with different sized pills there so you can estimate what size you need.
If you'd like to send us a photo of your daily routine, we can also guess-timate the size you need using that photo. Just send it to us at tavish@ikigaicases.com.
Lastly, our perfect fit guarantee means you can exchange your case if you do happen to find out the size wasn't quite right. We'll even redo the engravings for you, free of charge. It's just part of our promise to make sure you absolutely love your Ikigai Cases!
Do you offer rush shipping? (Hint: Yes)
Yes! Expedited shipping orders (UPS Next Day Air, UPS 2nd Day Air, etc) get same-day processing. The shipping cutoff time is 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
Normal orders get engraved and shipped in the order that they came in.

Yes! Pill organizers are 100% approved by the TSA for air travel as stated on the TSA.gov website, just place your Ikigai Cases inside your toiletry bag.

How does the sliding lid stay closed?
Ikigai Cases use a patented lid design that will never accidentally open or spill in your bag.
A spring loaded ball built into the base pushes up into a divot in the bottom of the lid keeping the lid securely closed.
When you’re ready to open your case, just push down on the traction pad area of the lid and slide the case open.
The lid will click into place at each pocket as it slides open. This makes it super easy to dump single pockets out while holding the case with just one hand.
How are engravings applied to the pill cases?
For Lid Engravings, we use CNC machines to engrave text onto the lids.
For Days of the Week (In Pocket Engravings), we use a fiber laser engraving machine to engrave the lettering inside the pockets.
The engravings are not stickers. They are not painted, sprayed, or laser marked on the cases. All of those ways to put temporary markings on a pill case wear off over time.
The engraving methods we chose are to make the engravings permanent - so they last as long as your case will.
We dealt with the pain of having markings wear off on plastic pill organizers for too many years. There was no way we were going to design our cases that way.

As a whole I think it is a decent product. In the video you should be able to see the size reference, how strong the magnets are. My only thing is that the magnets on the side that keep all 3 vitamin XL can be stronger. I notice that the magnet holding the case together works well when its in a looser bag. Capacity wise, it fit my needs. The rest only time will tell if it is any good. ie. does the magnet get weaker, discoloration and etc.
With lots of travel and more days on the road this car allows me to plan and stay on top of my supplement regime. Doesn’t open on its own or get nasty like plastic.
Love this little guy! I was putting my pills in a ziplock bag every day to bring to work. Not only is this case helping me eliminate single use plastic each day, it’s just so cute and convenient! Super easy to use and the lid completely comes off of the body if you need it to.

This vitamin nano case is great for setting out my night pills before bed. I keep the case next to my water on a side table and don't have to worry about the cat knocking it over. Super high quality, I have purchased a few of the different cases over the past two years- for home, travel, overnight trips, etc. Just a solid product.

After a few weeks of usage of the cases, I’ve really enjoyed the design of the cases. It lets me keep my daily meds together in one space I can allocate for the week and slide the case out further when I need to refill for the week. The smaller case is for my as-needed meds that are great for everyday carry. I make sure I have this case whenever I do my pat-down before heading out because it has made taking my meds more consistent than if I had to carry a pill bottle. Great product, highly recommend!

Totally dig the metal cases. I have the AM PM magnetic set. I initially bought it for 2 weeks worth, and ended up ordering another 2 weeks. The metal cases are great quality. I don't really love the plastic ultem lids, however. So, I think I'd pass on those as they look odd on the nice metal cases and they hold fingerprints.

I have always used a plastic case for my daily medication and supplements. They need to be replaced yearly because of breakage and discoloration. I am now so happy that I invested in the Ikigai Case. It works perfectly as described and will not need to be replaced. It's also easy to clean. It is a little heavier than the plastic cases but that is a small trade off. I'm a fan!

After too many times wondering whether I’d taken my pills (hazard of being over 50), I invested in this lovely pair. They fit in well with my minimalist vibe and I never have to wonder if I took my pills.
Love the colors! If fits 11 tylenol, or a lot of allergy meds even in its tiny size! This is a 10 out of 10 and it even fits a day of all my vitamins and medicine for a day travel!
The colors are beautiful, on the inside there are different patterns as well, the clicking sound and the sliding are magnificent. Real easy to open, but also real safe to keep the pills inside. I opened it all the way and my clumsy hands dropped it, the sound it made was awesome, and no damage was done to the case or my floor. Perfect! 10/10! All the pills fit perfectly, vitamins, medicine and more. The colors are excellent and size is very good. It does weigh more than a cheap plastic one, but the ones I've used have broken, I have high hopes for this one! Will update on this later!
