The Story Behind
Ikigai Cases
Our reason for creating Ikigai Cases was a very personal one. In 2008 our father was diagnosed with CIDP, a rare neurological disease that inhibits your movement and can even leave you paralyzed.
In the next years, we watched our father go through every issue imaginable with his pill containers. Breaking, spilling, accidentally opening constantly. Handling a flimsy plastic pill box is already a hassle, and even more so when your hands aren’t working very well due to his disease.
We tried every pill case we could find. Unfortunately, none worked for him.
In 2021, after watching our dad suffer plastic cases for years, we finally had enough. We wanted to give him a pill case that is durable, easy to use, never spills, and looks good on top of it.
That’s how Ikigai Cases was born.

I am having trouble finding my size. What size should I get?
Use the Find Your Size page to find the case that works best for you! There are photos of cases filled with different sized pills there so you can estimate what size you need.
If you'd like to send us a photo of your daily routine, we can also guess-timate the size you need using that photo. Just send it to us at tavish@ikigaicases.com.
Lastly, our perfect fit guarantee means you can exchange your case if you do happen to find out the size wasn't quite right. We'll even redo the engravings for you, free of charge. It's just part of our promise to make sure you absolutely love your Ikigai Cases!
Do you offer rush shipping? (Hint: Yes)
Yes. Rush shipping is UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS Next Day Air Saver, and rush processing is USPS Priority Mail. Order any of those by NOON EASTERN and it ships the same business day. After noon eastern, it ships the next business day.
Normal orders get engraved and shipped in the order that they came in. Our goal is to ship them within 3 business days.

Our return portal is easily accessible on our main menu, and its liked in all your tracking emails. We even provide prepaid return labels to make sure the entire process is as seamless as possible.
Can I put them in my carry-on bag while flying? (Hint: Yes)
Yes! Pill organizers are 100% approved by the TSA for air travel as stated on the TSA.gov website, just place your Ikigai Cases inside your toiletry bag.

How does the sliding lid stay closed?
Ikigai Cases use a patented lid design that will never accidentally open or spill in your bag.
A spring loaded ball built into the base pushes up into a divot in the bottom of the lid keeping the lid securely closed.
When you’re ready to open your case, just push down on the traction pad area of the lid and slide the case open.
The lid will click into place at each pocket as it slides open. This makes it super easy to dump single pockets out while holding the case with just one hand.
How are engravings applied to the pill cases?
For Lid Engravings, we use CNC machines to engrave text onto the lids.
For Days of the Week (In Pocket Engravings), we use a fiber laser engraving machine to engrave the lettering inside the pockets.
The engravings are not stickers. They are not painted, sprayed, or laser marked on the cases. All of those ways to put temporary markings on a pill case wear off over time.
The engraving methods we chose are to make the engravings permanent - so they last as long as your case will.
We dealt with the pain of having markings wear off on plastic pill organizers for too many years. There was no way we were going to design our cases that way.

Do free promotional items need to be returned if I return my order?
If your order included any FREE promotional items, those items must be returned with the rest of the order if you initiate a return.
If a free promotional item is not returned, it will be charged at its full retail price and deducted from your refund.

The design is perfect for those Hyrox travels. Have plenty of room for my vitamins. Already had a few people ask me about it.
Used up the remainder of my FSA funds to get the Mission case in gunmetal. Loved it so much, had to purchase the Weekly case. Sliding the lid is so much easier on my wrists. I was using dual ended plastic pill tubes that I got off amazon. They weren't bad and looked great after a few years, but I just couldn't handle opening them anymore. Ikigai cases have been on my radar for a while now and I decided to try it out. So glad I did. Now to see about taking my dad into getting some instead of going around his cardboard box of pill bottles.

My number one reason for getting this case is to reduce my plastic use, especially for items touching things I will consume. This case meets that criteria and more. It’s durable yet light, comes in fun colors, and easy to use everyday. I would recommend this product to anyone using medication or supplements.

I Loved my days of the week pill cases so much, I ordered 7 more for my nighttime medication. I ordered the same color scheme by day as my morning pill cases, had PM engraved on the lids and the days of the week engraved on the inside. Don't get me wrong, these are expensive, but I have ordered two 7 day sets and 1 individual because I Love them so much.
Love, love, love these pill cases. I purchased the 7 day a week magnetic pill cases and had the days of the week engraved on the outside. Extremely easy to load. I would always knock over my plastic 7 day pill case, which all the days were attached and all the pills would spill everywhere and I would have to sort and start over. I don't have that problem with these cases. After taking my morning pills, I move that day's pill case to the end of the row, that way I always know I took my pills. LOVE THEM.
This is my 3rd purchase from Ikigai, that's how much I love these pill boxes. I recently had to start taking medication at noon each day. The single Magnetic case is the perfect size for me to load my weekly pills for noon consumption, be able to take with me, and not worry about them spilling all over the place. Loading is easy, retrieving pills is easy. LOVE THEM.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the Weekly AM-PM pill case. I keep this can’t-miss bright blue case on the bathroom vanity for my bedtime routine. When it’s time to travel I attach it to its companion AM case and know my pills will remain safe and sorted in my carry-on.

I wish I had bought this sooner! Why do we put up with crappy plastic containers for so long? My new case is a thing of beauty and holds 11 different pills, some of which are real chonkers. Thanks for making my morning pill taking ritual much much nicer.
This pill case is an extravagant item! But I handle it twice a day every day, and other cases either feel cheap, fall apart or both. This case is precision engineered and manufactured. It has heft and significance and it makes me smile each time I open it. The fact that I can separate the AM and PM halves of the case to make it easier to pack in my travel toiletries kit is a big value add. Very satisfied.

I got the Nano vitamin case along with my Weekly AM-PM case and love them both. The Nano is the perfect complement for when I need to bring just one compartment of pills with me to take when I’m out. It is easy to spot, solid and never spills in my bag or pocket. Plus it’s just so cute!
Love the AM-PM set! I was determined to find something better than a cheap plastic case to organize my pills and keep me on track. I HAD to treat myself to Ikigai once I found the site online, even though I gulped at the price. The warranty and return policies made me feel comfortable ordering and I’m so glad I did. The case is both beautiful and functional. I can keep the AM case in the kitchen as part of my morning routine and the PM case in the bathroom for bedtime. When traveling I put the 2 sides together in my carry-on, knowing they are easy to spot and won’t ever spill or open accidentally. They look cool too - hardest part was choosing from all the color options. I know I will be back for more.
I ordered this to replace a smaller Ikigai case that was unable to hold my current supplements. Like all the Ikigai cases it is rugged and durable, with excellent fit and finish. I’m sure I’ll end up buying more of these.
