The Story Behind
Ikigai Cases
Our reason for creating Ikigai Cases was a very personal one. In 2008 our father was diagnosed with CIDP, a rare neurological disease that inhibits your movement and can even leave you paralyzed.
In the next years, we watched our father go through every issue imaginable with his pill containers. Breaking, spilling, accidentally opening constantly. Handling a flimsy plastic pill box is already a hassle, and even more so when your hands aren’t working very well due to his disease.
We tried every pill case we could find. Unfortunately, none worked for him.
In 2021, after watching our dad suffer plastic cases for years, we finally had enough. We wanted to give him a pill case that is durable, easy to use, never spills, and looks good on top of it.
That’s how Ikigai Cases was born.

Use the Find Your Size page to find the case that works best for you! There are photos of cases filled with different sized pills there so you can estimate what size you need.
If you'd like to send us a photo of your daily routine, we can also guess-timate the size you need using that photo. Just send it to us at tavish@ikigaicases.com.
Lastly, our perfect fit guarantee means you can exchange your case if you do happen to find out the size wasn't quite right. We'll even redo the engravings for you, free of charge. It's just part of our promise to make sure you absolutely love your Ikigai Cases!
Do you offer rush shipping? (Hint: Yes)
Yes! Expedited shipping orders (UPS Next Day Air, UPS 2nd Day Air, etc) get same-day processing. The shipping cutoff time is 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
Normal orders get engraved and shipped in the order that they came in.

Can I put them in my carry-on bag while flying? (Hint: Yes)
Yes! Pill organizers are 100% approved by the TSA for air travel as stated on the TSA.gov website, just place your Ikigai Cases inside your toiletry bag.

How does the sliding lid stay closed?
Ikigai Cases use a patented lid design that will never accidentally open or spill in your bag.
A spring loaded ball built into the base pushes up into a divot in the bottom of the lid keeping the lid securely closed.
When you’re ready to open your case, just push down on the traction pad area of the lid and slide the case open.
The lid will click into place at each pocket as it slides open. This makes it super easy to dump single pockets out while holding the case with just one hand.
How are engravings applied to the pill cases?
For Lid Engravings, we use CNC machines to engrave text onto the lids.
For Days of the Week (In Pocket Engravings), we use a fiber laser engraving machine to engrave the lettering inside the pockets.
The engravings are not stickers. They are not painted, sprayed, or laser marked on the cases. All of those ways to put temporary markings on a pill case wear off over time.
The engraving methods we chose are to make the engravings permanent - so they last as long as your case will.
We dealt with the pain of having markings wear off on plastic pill organizers for too many years. There was no way we were going to design our cases that way.

If your order included any FREE promotional items, those items must be returned with the rest of the order if you initiate a return.
If a free promotional item is not returned, it will be charged at its full retail price and deducted from your refund.

Its a great pill case. Very well made and durable. There is a slight lock at each pill compartment which is nice so the entire top wont open when you only need to access one or two compartments. Very happy with the purchase - it fills my need and will live in my truck for when I need advil or allergy meds.

After a few weeks of usage of the cases, I’ve really enjoyed the design of the cases. It lets me keep my daily meds together in one space I can allocate for the week and slide the case out further when I need to refill for the week. The smaller case is for my as-needed meds that are great for everyday carry. I make sure I have this case whenever I do my pat-down before heading out because it has made taking my meds more consistent than if I had to carry a pill bottle. Great product, highly recommend!

The colors are beautiful, on the inside there are different patterns as well, the clicking sound and the sliding are magnificent. Real easy to open, but also real safe to keep the pills inside. I opened it all the way and my clumsy hands dropped it, the sound it made was awesome, and no damage was done to the case or my floor. Perfect! 10/10! Fits pills, vitamins of the big kind and many more.
All the pills fit perfectly, vitamins, medicine and more. The colors are excellent and size is very good. It does weigh more than a cheap plastic one, but the ones I've used have broken, I have high hopes for this one! Will update on this later!

These are pretty dope cases. They will likely survive the apocalypse. Do you NEED $85 pill cases? Probably not, but if you've got some extra FSA funds to blow I say Treat yo self! I personally enjoy the slide of the top and the satisfying click as it moves from day to day.

I just bought my 4th Ikigai case!! I love these cases. Sturdy, durable, and they come in awesome colors. They are great for medication, supplements, jewelry, crafting.. the list is endless!!
Like many people, I was skeptical because of the price. I had been using two separate cases to travel with my daily vitamins, medications, and sports supplements. It's expensive, but I won't ever have to buy another pill case. It has enough capacity to hold all of my pills without being enormous. The last compartment is also large enough to store a few extra tablets, which is a nice bonus. The Nano Case is the perfect travel companion for medications you don't take routinely, such as Tylenol, Advil, etc.
